It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year! Especially at Fairview Farm in Powhatan, VA!
Fairview Farm is a breathtaking, rustic wedding venue that features 115 acres, packed with the most incredible views. My aunt Halona, who is a talented decorator and the owner of Happier Fortunes LLC worked tirelessly in November to help decorate Fairview Farm with loads of gorgeous Christmas decorations! I was thrilled to assist, though she gets ALL the credit!
Fairview Farm is an absolutely remarkable venue in and of itself year-round. The team at Fairview has a true eye for design as the property stays meticulously maintained and charmingly decorated all year. The Christmas decorations are provided by the staff at Fairview, we were just lucky enough to be able to help bring the vision to life! It is STUNNING and brings a wealth of Christmas cheer and added warmth to the venue during this Holiday season!
The venue has been hosting weddings since 2014 and has received well deserved recognition for being a unique, all-inclusive and gorgeous venue!

I have been honored to work a countless number of weddings and events at Fairview over the years and have had the absolute pleasure to work alongside Keith Reagan with Reagan Studios on many of them. Keith is an outstanding videographer who brings so much creativity and talent to the table at the weddings that we have worked on together.

It has been an interesting year with the pandemic, and this has undoubtedly impacted so many people and businesses. The wedding industry has been drastically impacted this year and When Keith presented me with his idea to film a tour of Fairview that features the Holiday decor, I was thrilled to be a part of it. It turned out PERFECT, there really is no other word to describe it.
DJ and Taylor, the models in the film, were asked to be a part of the day. Taylor is the daughter of Halona, who is a great friend of Debbie Gordon, the venue’s wonderful owner! It was originally a casual film to highlight the decorations. Keith and his amazing vision suggested a more formal tone and asked Taylor and DJ to come dressed as if they were attending a Christmas wedding. I’m telling you, he is a true genius!
As the details aligned, DJ thought this would be the perfect opportunity to propose to Taylor! This was a complete shock and surprise to ALL of us, in the best way!
On a last minute whim while finalizing the details of the day, Keith said the only thing this film is missing is SANTA – turns out the saying is true, if you ask you shall receive! Santa, one you may recognize from Richmond, is DJ’s grandpa! I’m telling you, this day literally couldn’t have been more perfect. Santa’s appearance was arranged behind the scenes and DJ and Taylor had no idea he would be there. DJ thought he was the only one bringing a surprise, but we had one for him too!
The entire day was such a memorable experience for all. We planned this film to highlight the venue for future couples to enjoy, but all of us involved truly felt so much joy throughout this day!
