There’s something about lifestyle sessions that I swoon over every time a new one hits my calendar! I just love being welcomed into your homes to document pictures that your family will cherish forever. The feel of “HOME” that is added into the vibe of the session for my clients really makes it so special to me.
When it’s a long-time friend, that takes it up a notch! I’m so excited that Megan and AJ opened their NEW doors to me so that I could take this lifestyle session for them.
New house + new baby – 2020 has been full of a lot of GREAT things for the McFadden family <3 I’m so happy for them!
Megan and I have been friends since high school and my heart skipped a beat when she offered me this special opportunity. She said “I knew that when we decided to do a newborn shoot that I didn’t want just anyone doing our photos, especially since we wanted to do an in-home shoot and that’s why we chose you.”
I cannot say enough how much I thrive in my photographer element. It just fills my soul with so much joy and fulfills me in so many ways. I pinch myself OFTEN at the thought of all of the opportunities I am blessed with and I do not take lightly that my job carries a lot of weight for my clients. When you handpick me out of the sea of local photographers, so many of them that are so talented as well, I am SO INCREDIBLY humbled. <3 It never wears off!
Megan and AJ recently welcomed their sweet girl, Lillian “Lily” Taylor McFadden. She is the sweetest, most perfect bundle of joy. The love just BEAMS from Megan and AJ and they are the most calm set of parents. You’d never know they are just getting started on the whole parenting thing! Lily did so well during the session and really made it a smooth and peaceful time for all of us.
She is just completely precious and full of the most perfect, tiny features.
Her big brother Rex has taken super well to his new role, too! Isn’t he the most handsome thing?
When asked to share a little on her experience, Megan explained that “our goal was to keep our photos simple. We wanted to capture these sweet memories of our now family of 4, in the comfort of our own home, without any extra props or backdrops… There was no rush or time frame on the shoot and Ashley let Lily lead the way! We are grateful for the experience and are thrilled with how our photos came out.”
If you were to ask me what my hope is for how my clients feel during and after a photo session with me, I wouldn’t be able to say it much better, so I am so happy that Megan and AJ were so pleased with their lifestyle session!
I know that it can take a lot of energy to get prepared for a photo session, especially when a newborn is involved. My ultimate goal always is for my clients to feel nothing but positivity regarding their experience, but when it is voiced, my heart literally overflows with joy.
AJ, Megan, Lily and Rex — It was an absolute honor to visit your home and spend time with your sweet family. You are blessed beyond measure with the love between the 4 of you and all of the joy that is to come with being parents! Your new home is beautiful and I thank you for inviting me into it!
