Powers Wedding | Married at Fairview Farm Events
Fall is undoubtedly my favorite season to photograph in Virginia. The colorful leaves remind us how truly beautiful change can be and how lucky we are to be a witness to it. Deep reds, burnt oranges, and mustard yellow pops mingle together to create pallets that any autumn enthusiast would salivate over, which Faith and Tyler MUST have known when choosing each detail for their day. Navy blue suits and emerald green dresses were the perfect touches for this jewel-toned affair. And don’t even get me started on all of the happy little sunflowers that kissed the most perfect spots of the day. Representing happiness, loyalty, and adoration; sunflowers were a very fitting touch.
Flowers by Zoie is responsible for the STUNNING blooms on this blog, and she totally deserves the first shout-out! Zoie is an experienced floral, bridal and special event consultant, who has served brides and clients for the past 15 years. Every client is seen as unique, and Zoie loves the challenge of bringing new ideas to the table for your special day! Her goal is to exceed the bride or client’s expectations from beginning to end and let me just say- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I was highly impressed with her lively bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and altar swags, so she definitely gets my two-thumbs up for future brides.
Another all-star player on this wedding day lineup was Chelsea of Illumination Events Studio. She is a self-proclaimed checklist addict, an avid do-it-yourselfer, and Illumination Events Studio’s Lady Boss since 2011. She’s all about getting things done (and done well), and there is no greater satisfaction for her than taking a step back at the end of events to admire her happy couples. Chelsea’s ultimate goal is to ensure all of her clients are present in the moment during their special day, and I can personally attest to how true that statement is. She went above and beyond all day long, and truly organized each and every moment perfectly. It’s always a pleasure to work with Chelsea and her talented team.

It’s not often that I can use the same three adjectives to describe a couple, their decor, and their wedding-day weather. Bright, cheerful, and warm are the words that immediately come to mind. I’m blessed to work with a lot of really sweet and genuine people in this industry, but when two people like Faith and Tyler waltz into my life, I have to pause and thank my lucky stars twice. They must have thanked me 1,000 times by the end of the day, but the pleasure was truly all mine. Just look at how they gaze at each other… a photographer’s dream, you guys. Take a look at the kind words Faith had to say during her exit interview below!
